Recent Developments
•In 2019, Denmark increased the renewable energy share target from 5.75% to 7.6% by energy content for 2020
•In 2020, Denmark imposed a 0.15% advanced biofuels target for local fuel suppliers. The target will increase in 2021
•The Danish Energy Agency approved a “positive list” of feedstock from which produced biofuels can be double counted toward the renewable energy share target and counted toward the advanced biofuels target
•Conventional diesel grade with maximum biodiesel content 7% v/v is the main grade. In the past years, we observed also small quantities of hydrotreated vegetable oil blended in conventional diesel grade
•In the period between 2020 and 2030, Denmark does not expect an increase in biodiesel consumption
