Bio-based Diesel Production Capacity
There is domestic production of biodiesel (FAME), which in 2018 covered roughly 20% (44,000 m3) of Denmark’s annual consumption of 220,000 m3. Two biodiesel plants are operating in the country:
•Emmelev started operation in 2001 based on rapeseed oil feedstock, with an annual production capacity of around 180,000 m3, of which a large share is exported
•Daka started production in 2008 based on animal waste fat and oils. Their annual production capacity is 55,000 m3
