Quality specifications

The Cooperation Council for the Arab States of the Gulf (GCC) Standardization Organization (GSO) sets gasoline specifications. The Bahrain Standards and Metrology Directorate (BSMD) is a member of the Arab Center for Standardization and Metrology and a founder member of the GSO.

The BSMD, under the Ministry of Industry, Commerce and Tourism, approves and publishes the GSO standards for use in Bahrain.
