Metallic additives
Bahrain’s gasoline standard BH GSO 2196:2021 only regulates the maximum limit for lead at 13 mg/l or 0.013 g/l. It does not regulate the content of any other metal, including manganese and iron.
The SGS Worldwide Fuel Survey (WWFS) results from gasoline samples taken in 2014-2023 showed no traces of lead, manganese and iron, except for the 2015 samples where up to 22 mg/l of manganese was detected.
