Infrastructure for alternative fuels

European Commission proposal

On July 14, 2021, the European Commission published a proposal for a revision of the on the deployment of alternative fuels infrastructure. Once approved the Alternative Fuels Infrastructure Regulation (AFIR) regulation will supersede the Alternative Fuels Infrastructure Directive (AFID) and it will be directly applicable in EU member states.

The published regulation proposes the following for road transport sector:
