Quality monitoring

In May 2022, the Sudanese Ministry of Energy and Oil launched an investigation into the discovery of gasoline non-compliant with official specifications found at fuel stations. The investigation was launched following a series of complaints about adulterated gasoline and malfunctioning vehicles.

The Ministry of Energy and Oil carries out some control tests on fuel stations and warehouses, including analysis on gasoline and vehicles.

However, there is no official fuel quality monitoring program in place.
