Octane
The Irish diesel standard I.S. EN 228:2012 +A1:2017, requires a minimum research octane number (RON) of 95 in gasoline.
The SGS Worldwide Fuel Survey (WWFS) shows that the average RON in the period of 2017 to 2019 was above the regulatory limit. However, the average RON was below the regulatory limit of 95 in 2020 (RON 94.7) and 2021 (RON 94.4).
