Aviation fuel quality regulation

Aviation fuel must comply with specific quality requirements. Any alternative fuel will have to comply with these requirements, albeit that the existing specifications are already themselves evolving to include both synthetic, innovative sustainable aviation fuels (SAF) and mixtures of SAFs and conventional fuels. The following sections explain the standards applicable to conventional and alternative aviation fuels.
