Off-road diesel
Diesel used in slow-speed engines, including small to medium power generation, agricultural machinery and construction equipment.
Off-road diesel quality is regulated through the Standard Specification No. 1/1099 for slow-speed diesel. Prior to this, the quality of diesel was left to the refineries’ capability.
The specification does not set any cetane number/index. However, it set a maximum sulfur limit of 2.5% m/m or 25,000 mg/kg. More details of the specification are available on the SGS INSPIRE fuel specifications database.
