Production capacity

Based on the information available, SGS INSPIRE has compiled results for all current and future production capacities for hydrotreated vegetable oil (HVO) in Europe. The estimated capacity for HVO is based on active plants across Europe pre-2022 for the current view. The projection for 2030 includes additional HVO production capacity post-2022, to 2030. The table below gives a total estimation of these production capacities by different technology pathways. The following tables summarize HVO production using three different production pathways (hydrotreatment of oils, co-processing, and gasification and Fischer Trospch (FT)) in Europe, with existing and projected capacity.
