The 2017 Singapore gasoline specification added a maximum limit of 3% v/v for methanol, which was implemented in 2019, but there was no specification for ethanol.
SGS Worldwide Fuels Survey (WWFS) results from gasoline samples obtained in 2012-2023 showed that no samples contained ethanol. Methanol, however, was found in some samples at a trace level of less than 0.1% v/v. The figure below shows the methanol content of gasoline samples in 2012-2023.
