Ethanol

As of September 18, 2024, Bahrain’s government neither mandates nor bans the use of ethanol in gasoline. The country’s gasoline specification BH GSO 2196:2022 does not set any limits for ethanol.

The SGS Worldwide Fuel Survey (WWFS) results from gasoline samples taken in 2014-2023 showed that there was no ethanol detected in any of the samples.
