The U.S. Environmental Protection Agency (EPA) has approved more robust emission standards to reduce air pollution, starting in 2027.
Canada has historically modeled their vehicle standards on U.S. standards; currently, both countries have announced that they are working towards a possible joint vehicle emissions standard.
However, SGS INSPIRE believes that in the short term, Canada will still rely on the U.S. emission standards and adopt them almost identically.
