Peru’s Ministry of Environment establishes maximum permissible limits of atmospheric emissions for vehicles. On November 30, 2017, Peru adopted presented by the Ministry of Environment, which establishes maximum permissible limits of atmospheric emissions for automotive vehicles. As of April 1, 2018, vehicle emission standards are Euro 4/IV, Tier II and Environmental Protection Agency (EPA) 2007. This decree was amended by of October 16, 2021, which follows the international trend of transition towards the use of vehicles that comply with emission standards in accordance with Euro technology 6/VI, Tier 3 and EPA 2010, as of October 2024.
