Octane
The SGS Worldwide fuel survey (WWFS) conducted in selected countries in the Americas region in summer 2019 showed octane compliance in gasoline samples taken in Argentina, Brazil, Canada, Colombia, Chile, Mexico, and the U.S. An error in the tests of ±0.1 has been considered.
Argentina, Colombia and Mexico have complied with their octane requirements. Brazil, Canada and Chile have had incompliances in one sample and the U.S. have had two incompliances.
The figure below shows percentage of incompliances of the octane number in gasoline samples.
