This section provides an overview about the legislative requirements for octane boosters: hydrocarbons, oxygenates, metallic additives and anilines in Europe. The EU have set one of the tightest quality parameters for gasoline in the world. In 2020-2021, the EU is planning to review the fuel quality requirements which might result in regulating additional parameters.
