Gasoline grade RON 92 is the most popular grade in the CIS region, followed by the grade RON 95.
Moldova and Ukraine import gasoline from Bulgaria and Romania. Therefore the RON 95 share is much higher than other countries.
Uzbekistan and Turkmenistan, followed by Georgia, have one of the lowest octane because of the old refining sector. In the case of Georgia, it is dependent on gasoline imports from different counties, e.g. Azerbaijan, European countries, and Russia. Uzbekistan and Azerbaijan have started importing gasoline grades RON 95 and RON 98 with a sulfur content at a max. of 10 mg/kg to support newer vehicles. These grades are sold mainly in larger cities.
